Colleen Mary Carpenter is Professor of Theology and Women’s Studies at St. Catherine University, and previously served as community theologian for Earthrise Farm in Madison, MN. She is editor of An Unexpected Wilderness: Christianity and the Natural World, and author of numerous articles and book chapters on ecotheology and ecospirituality. Her current research brings theology into conversation with issues of landscape, history, and diversity, and  focuses on the use of public art and public monuments in the creation of community identity.
