What does the Quran teach concerning nature? Why has the universe been referred to as being revelatory in the Islamic tradition? This lecture explores a number of salient themes in Quranic teachings on nature, as well as traditional expositions of them in various parts of the Islamic tradition. It includes a brief overview of the treatment of nature in Islamic scripture, Islamic tradition, and in the Islamic world today.

Lecture by Dr. Munjed Murad, Assistant Professor of world religions and intercultural studies at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.
