Beltane

The festival of Beltane is a part of the Wheel of the Year, an annual cycle of eight holidays which include each solstice, each equinox, and the halfway point between each. Beltane, the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice, marks the end of the Season of Sleep as the Earth Mother awakens for the Season of Life. Irony Sade, who was a Carleton Archdruid in the 90s, once wrote: "Beltane is a time for celebrating not only the budding life in the world, but for becoming aware of the elements in our own lives that are passing through the spring of the soul – new projects, new loves, new life. It is a time of rejoicing in the beginnings that are always happening in the world and in our selves." Everyone is welcome, regardless of your experience with the Druids or your spiritual beliefs!
