Information/training session on how to respond if ICE were to come to campus
As reports of visa revocations and deportations on or near university campuses become more frequent, members of the Carleton community have expressed a desire for more information about how to respond if ICE were to come to campus.
As a proactive measure, Carleton faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend this virtual session to learn about what to do in this circumstance. We will learn strategies from Director of Campus Safety Blake Held regarding how to respond or assist as a bystander. This will include Know Your Rights information, details about warrants, resources available for accessing support, and the systems that will be enacted if a detention were to occur on campus. Immigration attorneys from Faegre Drinker will also be present to respond to questions and provide information about national contexts.
Please complete this registration webform to attend. A Zoom link will be sent 15 minutes before the event to those who register to attend.
