Read-A-Thon of Palestinian and Palestinian American Authors

Thu, April 17, 2025 • 9:30am - 3:00pm (5h 30m) • Upper Sayles, weather permitting Bald Spot

As part of the AAUP National Day of Action, members of the Faculty for Justice in Palestine at Carleton College and Northfielders for Justice in Palestine/Israel are organizing a Read-A-Thon of prose and poetry by Palestinian and Palestinian American authors.

The Read-A-Thon will happen April 17, 9:30-3pm in Upper Sayles or, weather permitting, on the Bald Spot. If you want to listen, just show up during this time! We will have various genres of literature, among them also literature for children.

In order to read, follow the instructions below:

We plan to have each reader read for 15 minutes each--though we might adjust the time depending on how many readers sign up. The organizers will have materials to read. We will not make public the names of individual readers. We ask that you pick up where the last reader leaves off without any introductory remarks. Please use this form to sign up and let us know what hour(s) you are free. We will make a final schedule based on how many people sign up. Your emails are just for us to use to communicate with you and will not be made public.
