Please join the ARCN 246 class on a field trip to the Grand Meadow Chert Quarry archaeological site on Saturday, September 28th. Recently renamed the Wanhi Yucan ("there is chert here" in Dakota) Quarry, the site now includes accessible walking paths and a new parking lot.
The quarry has been an important site for native peoples of southern Minnesota for over 8,000 years.
Please see attached flyer for more details. Email Sarah Kennedy to RSVP - we have 5 spots left on our bus, although you can also drive your own vehicle.
We hope you can join us!
