Dec 9
LTC Winter Conference - Applied ACE Workshop
Facilitators: Emily Seru, Associate Director for Academic Civic Engagement and Scholarship
Stipend: $50 for eligible participants
Faculty are invited to bring an idea for an applied (meaning you want to engage with a community partner) ACE course, an existing ACE course they want to refine or deepen, or an existing course that they want to try including an ACE component. We will look at the experiential learning arch of a ten week ACE course and the essential components that should be included in an applied ACE course. This session will include experienced Carleton ACE community partners who will speak to what makes for an effective ACE partnership from their perspectives, and faculty will have work time to think through and discuss the core design considerations for their individual ACE course.
