LTC Winter Conference - What is Academic Civic Engagement at Carleton

Stipend: $50 for eligible participants

This session is an introduction to and an overview of Academic Civic Engagement courses at Carleton. We will explore the overarching learning objectives for ACE courses, review the difference between theoretical and applied ACE course and how to build from one to the other year to year, review ethical best practices and resources for community-engaged ACE courses, and look at a range of examples of past ACE courses, projects, and assignments within different disciplines and at different course and student developmental levels.
