Building The Cathedral of Notre Dame--A Carleton Lego Celebration

On 15 April 2019, the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris caught fire. Although fire crews extinguished the flames before the structure was destroyed, the damage was tremendous and prompted a national, indeed global, effort to rebuild it. On Saturday, December 7, 2024, a restored Cathedral of Notre Dame reopened. To celebrate this happy event, MARS will salute those who rebuilt the cathedral by building LEGO's scale replica of the cathedral. We will begin at 10 am and get as much built as possible by 4 pm. There will be food and, who knows, we may combine it with a mini-marathon reading of part of Victor Hugo's Notre Dame. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome as are their children or LEGO enthusiasts.
