For the first convo of 2024, Carleton welcomes sociologist Anthony Jack, the author of The Privileged Poor: How Elite colleges Are Failing Disadvantaged Students.

Don't have time to read the book before convo? If you would like to learn more about his work but perhaps don't have time to read the entire book before convo, this conversation is for you. Liz Raleigh, associate professor of sociology will present an informal overview of the book and offer some context to help us prepare for Anthony's visit.
