Fall Recruiting Job and Internship Fair

MPCCC Job & Internship Fair

Sponsored by the 18 private colleges and universities in Minnesota, the event is held in the fall at the Minneapolis Convention Center. By attending the recruiting fair, you will have the opportunity to network with 30+ Minnesota, regional, and national companies hiring in the areas of consulting, banking, finance, accounting, actuarial science, stats/data science, technology, business analysis, management and leadership training/development, and project management

This fair is open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduates from the class of 2023 only.

Registration: Register via Handshake by Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Transportation: Carleton is partnering with St. Olaf to provide bus transportation free to registered students. The bus will depart Willis Hall at TBD a.m. to go to the fair. The bus to return to Carleton will depart from the Convention Center at TBD p.m. No additional sign-up is needed for transportation -- all registered students will be able to board the bus. Should you drive yourself, event parking is available near the Convention Center and typically costs $8-$10.

Why Should I Attend?

By attending the Job Fair, you will have the opportunity to network with 30+ Minnesota, regional, and national companies.  The employers present at the event will be actively recruiting for jobs and internships. Other employers may anticipate hiring in the next six months. No matter what an organization’s objectives may be, as an attendee, you can take advantage of speaking with recruiters from a variety of different industries to learn how your career goals may fit with their hiring needs.

Meeting with employer representatives is strongly encouraged to help you stand out as a candidate.  Employers are far more likely to consider candidates with whom they’ve made a personal connection.  Connecting directly to employers will also give you the chance to identify and discern which opportunities are the best fit for you.

Preparation

  • To cancel your registration, please do so directly in Handshake by navigating to the event, and hovering over the purple “Registered” button which will give you the option to “Leave Event”. You may also email Recruiting at recruiting@carleton.edu.
  • Once registered, all communication about the fair will be through Handshake e-mail. Check your messages regularly, and watch for important information.
  • Important Note: It is the student’s responsibility to notify professors as early as possible about an expected absence from a class for the fair.  It is at the instructors’ individual discretion to determine how such absences will be handled.
