Kate Meyer is a Carleton biology major ('09) who morphed into a mathematician and returned to Carleton as an Assistant Professor in the math department. Her talk will consider (1) what simple models can tell us about why biodiversity exists in the first place, (2) how habitat loss drives extinctions, and (3) what can be done about it. Please join us at 3:15 in the atrium in outside 141 for refreshments before the seminar.
