Bryn-Jones Endowed Lecture - Home Fire: Kamila Shamsie’s Conversation with Sophocles

Kamila Shamsie has said that Sophocles' Antigone provided not the "bones" for her 2017 novel Home Fire, but rather the "marrow." Clara Hardy will explore the possible meanings of this expression as she interrogates the specific effects of reading the two texts together.
