LTC Lunch - Building Trust in the Classroom
Drawing on the insights of intervention science, Mitchell will share techniques for building positive relationships between students in the classroom by focusing on inclusive practices. Successful, positive classroom interactions that highlight shared goals and equal power can help students develop a sense of belonging and trust that will support their learning and make the group more resilient to instances of bias.

Mitchell Campbell is a social psychologist who studies how we can use psychological tools to encourage more inclusive behavior in the real world. In addition to teaching at Carleton, he works for an IDE consulting firm.
