Ceramics Wood Firing
Members of the Carleton community are invited to stop by to learn about the fascinating process of wood firing. Ceramic students will fire Carleton's Wood Kiln on Wednesday, Oct 26, starting at 5am. The firing ends when the temperature of the kiln reaches 2300 degrees F-- this typically happens between 10pm and midnight. The kiln is located just across the street from Farm House in the Art Yard and everyone is welcome at the event to ask questions and witness the wood-firing process.
