Washington AIDS Partnership

Are you graduating soon and looking into a career in healthcare, policy, or advocacy? Do you want to work directly with diverse communities addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the nation's capital?

If this sounds interesting join recent Carleton graduate and Washington AIDS Partnership (WAP) Health Corps Fellow, Alec Jacobson ’21 for an information session about next year's WAP cohort.

In this session, you'll learn about how to apply to the position, the day to day of work in community health clinics, what it's like living in DC, and more! There will be a brief presentation followed by time for questions.

About Washington AIDS Partnership
The Washington AIDS Partnership brings together ideas, people, and resources to end the HIV epidemic in the Greater Washington region. As an initiative of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, the Partnership invests in local organizations, focusing programming and resources on the communities most affected by the epidemic.

The Partnership also provides technical assistance to local nonprofits to increase capacity and expertise; initiates public policy initiatives to address systemic issues; convenes local government, providers, funders, and other stakeholders to implement innovative strategies to reduce HIV risk and improve the lives of people living with HIV; and each year, recruits and mentors a team of young people who provide direct volunteer service in the community.
