Sustaining Engagement with Purpose Workshop

Thu, December 9, 2021 • 8:00am - 5:00pm (9h) • Weitz 236

Each of us exhibits leadership in our classroom, our committees, departments, and institutions whether we are in formal positional leadership roles or members of a community dedicated to student’s education and personal growth. Leadership begins with a deeper understanding of self, other, and the environment in which we seek to navigate change and help provide direction.  This workshop is designed to encourage your understanding of the traits and capacities you possess, how those help or hinder your work with others, and provide you a tool for analyzing institutional barriers to reframe issues and create solutions.  Importantly, the 2-day, interactive workshop will also help you consider your own values and align your institutional activities with those values.

  • Who: Targeted towards tenured faculty in any department or program, but junior faculty can participate if there is space available (only 16 slots are available).
  • When: December 9th and 10th, 8am-5pm  both days, you must attend both days.
  • Co-Facilitators: Marty Baylor, Bill North, Jessica Young (external facilitator - Western Colorado University)
  • Stipend: $400.00 per person total

Participants must register for this event by November 12.
