A three time All-American football player, Jim Bradford is the most prolific wide receiver ever to step on the gridiron at Carleton. When he graduated, Bradford’s 3,719 receiving yards ranked third all-time at the NCAA Division III level. At the completion of his career, Bradford held MIAC records for receiving yards in a game (285), receiving yards in a season (1,238), yards in a career (3,719), catches in a game (13), catches in a career (214) and touchdown receptions in a season (13). The last number also tied the NCAA Division III record at the time. His 32 touchdown catches still stand as Carleton’s all-time record. Perhpas his best season came during 1990 when he caught 66 balls for 1,064 yards and an astounding 13 touchdowns. He was named All-America first team by three organizations. He is the first and only Carleton receiver to post 1,000-yard receiving seasons. His 196 career points scored is also a school record.
