Petty Cash/Change Fund

Carleton College may permit a department to maintain a limited petty cash fund, typically as a change fund for handling sales at events. Departments maintaining petty cash funds are required to exercise specific controls over its use and safeguard the fund at all times.

Petty Cash/Change funds are now managed through Workday with Spend Authorizations.

All reimbursements must be accompanied by original receipts and/or proper documentation as stated in the Petty Cash Policy.
