Molecular and Cell Biology Research Assistant

The Wistar Institute has an opening for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the laboratory of Dr. Amelia Escolano. The Escolano lab investigates novel vaccination strategies against HIV-1 using cutting-edge technologies and animal models.
 
The successful candidate will provide technical assistance with molecular and cellular biology methods, tissue culture and with animal studies.
 
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required. Excellent communication and organization skills are essential. We are seeking candidates with previous experience in molecular and cellular biology methods including PCR, DNA cloning, ELISA and cell culture. Experience with mouse work, flow cytometry, production of Adeno Associated Virus, antibody/protein production and purification, Next Generation Sequencing are highly desirable.  
 
The successful candidate will have ample opportunity to work directly with Dr. Escolano and other lab members, allowing for the potential of being an author on publications in top-tier scientific journals.
