Junior Researcher at UCSF Kamber Lab

31 January 2023

The Kamber Lab at the University of California, San Francisco has multiple openings for full-time Junior Specialists/Lab Technicians starting in Spring 2023.

The Kamber Lab is working to discover novel molecules that regulate the intrinsic capacity of macrophages to recognize, engulf, and clear tumor cells. They are also interested in understanding why macrophages fail to eliminate disease-causing cells during the aging process. Using CRISPR-based technologies, they aim to identify therapeutic targets and develop the next generation of immunotherapies (see Kamber, et al., Nature 2021).

The Junior Specialist positions are ideal for students graduating in 2023 who are interested in gaining additional research experience before graduate or medical school. These positions offer competitive compensation packages as well as opportunities to lead independent projects, contribute as an author to one or more publications, help build a friendly, supportive and inclusive lab environment, and benefit from close mentorship and enthusiastic support for the next stage of their careers.
