Field Courses and REUs at Michigan State

18 February 2019

The W.K. Kellogg Biological Station at Michigan State University, in partnership with several departments, offers a wide variety of field-based summer courses that include important prerequisite courses in biology and ecology, plus advanced botany, grant writing, wetland ecology, and GIS.

All students committed to courses at least 3 days/week receive 50% room and board support to stay at the station! Links to detailed courses can be found here.

Students can also apply for the KBS REU Program! This is an opportunity for undergraduate students to conduct full-time research in collaboration with our outstanding faculty, postdocs, and graduate students.

All REU positions offer a generous stipend, FREE room and board at KBS, up to $550 towards travel costs, and up to $250 for research supplies. More information about this program can be found here. Applications for the REU program close March 1, 2019.
