River Bend Nature Center is currently seeking Environmental Education Interns for the winter/spring of 2020 and is willing to help students fulfill any requirements needed to count the internship as credit.
River Bend Nature Center is a 501c3 non-profit nature center, with 743 acres of land and 10 miles of multi-use trails. RBNC has diverse program offerings, and during the school year primarily teaches field trips to kindergarten through 6th grade students.
The Environmental Education Intern position is unpaid and runs February-May with flexible hours. As the Intern you will help plan and implement school programs to meet state science standards and learn environmental education practices and techniques. You will work with students of various age groups and diverse cultures to understand the natural world. You will also help train volunteers, interface with the public, and more!
