REU at MDI Biological Laboratory
6 February 2019Due to the Federal Government Shutdown, we have extended the REU application deadline to February 15th! The MDI Biological Laboratory’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program aims to engage students in scientific explorations in the Laboratory’s focus area, comparative regenerative biology, while providing them with opportunities to build skills important to successful careers in the biological sciences. For 10 weeks, each REU student will conduct independent research under the mentorship of a research scientist while having access to state-of-the-art research laboratories and core facilities and support staff. Hernandez and McKone Summer Research 2019
11 January 2019Biology professors Dan Hernández and Mark McKone are accepting applications for summer research assistants for summer 2019. The research will focus on various projects in the Carleton Arboretum on the ecology of prairie restoration, soil carbon and nutrient cycling, and the impacts of mammal herbivory on prairie communities.
