Purdue University is now accepting applications for their REU in molecular and biochemical protein analysis. This 10-week program allows students the opportunity to work on mentored research projects on varying topics within the broad scope of biochemistry, and culminates in two different research presentation experiences. Overland is a summer program providing outdoors experiences for 4th-12th grade students, and they’re currently seeking college students to join their team of trip leaders for the summer of 2021. A summer with Overland is bookended by opening and closing leadership sessions that are centered around 6-weeks of co-leading trips domestically and/or internationally. NCSU is accepting applications for their summer 2021 research program focusing on biotechnology and genetic sequencing. Students in the program will spend 10 weeks doing mentored research with an emphasis on next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies. The CHORI Summer Student Research Program provides an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of basic and/or clinical research for three months during the summer. The program pairs students with one or two CHORI principal investigators who serve as mentors, guiding the students through the design and testing of their own hypotheses and methodology development. Northern Illinois University is now accepting applications for their Summer 2021 REU focused on water quality in the Yucatan. The Mountain Lake Biological Station at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for their Summer 2021 REU. This 10-week program focuses on population biology at the intersections of ecology, evolution, and behavior, offering a high degree of independence for student researchers. The Center for Engineering MechanoBiology (CEMB) at Washington University in St. Louis is recruiting motivated undergraduate students for its Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.  Students participate in a 10-week, on-campus program, working in research groups at WashU.  Students are matched to projects within a research group based upon their interests, educational background, and previous research experience.
