Biology Opportunities

Over the period of 5 full days (January 9-13, 2023), students will work closely with experts on writing and molecular visualization projects that will be published as part of the Molecule of the Month series at PDB-101 (pdb101.rcsb.org).
Scholarships are available for top-performing, underrepresented minority students from outside Rutgers.

Applications for winter break research funding in math and the sciences are being accepted through October 23rd. The Kolenkow-Reitz fellowship is designed to support students engaging in up to 3 weeks of off-campus research, and it can be accessed here. For students engaging in research with Carleton faculty over break, the Towsley Research Endowment can be accessed here, and it should be completed by faculty research advisors.

This new fellowship aims to enable graduating seniors with a strong interest in a career in scientific research to experience working life at an R1 institution. Find more information here. The application deadline is 5PM on Friday, February 28, 2020.

The Towsley Endowment for Student-Faculty Research provides support for work with Carleton science and math faculty over the summer. Faculty deadline to apply is 5 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020.

Receive research support to work with faculty at another institution through the Kolenkow-Reitz Fellowship. Applications for summer break fellowships are due at 5 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020.

The Department of Energy’s Research Fellowship provides financial support for students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields that use computing to solve problems in science and engineering. The application deadline is January 15, 2020. For more information visit their website here.
