Brigham and Women’s Hospital Summer Research Program
24 September 2018The Summer Training in Academic Research and Scholarship (STARS) program provides underrepresented minority (URM) medical and undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in basic clinical and translational research projects at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and in conjunction with Harvard Medical School (HMS). This program is designed to enhance the research capabilities of URM undergraduate and medical students and to encourage these scholars to pursue advanced graduate and medical education and training at BWH and HMS.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents who are undergraduate students of junior or senior standing OR first-year medical students. Members of a group traditionally underrepresented in the sciences (African-American, Alaskan/Hawaiian Native, Hispanic, or Native American) are especially encouraged to apply. Students will receive a stipend for food and other necessities, travel compensation to and from Boston, and housing for the duration of the 8-week program.

Brandeis University REU
24 September 2018The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in the Biological and Physical Sciences is a 10-week program for students to gain more research experience and to explore careers in the sciences. The two specialized programs are:
- REU in Cell & Molecular Visualization
- REU in Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC)
US citizens and permanent residents who are in their sophomore or junior year of college are eligible to apply. Students will receive a stipend, housing, and meal allowance.

UND Environmental Research Center Summer Program
21 September 2018University of Notre Dame offers two field biology research programs for the summer of 2019. Apply now to spend the summer studying northwoods ecology in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula or studying the ecology of an intermountain valley in Montana. Baylor College of Medicine SMART Program
19 September 2018The Summer Medical and Research Training (SMART) Program allows students to become functioning members of Baylor laboratories and contribute to research efforts in more than 20 basic and clinical science departments. At the end of the program, students submit a short summary of their research. Daily seminars help students develop fundamental knowledge, introduce areas of biomedical research and emphasize the reciprocal relationship between basic research and clinical applications.
