Graduate Research Assistantship in Special Education/Teaching & Learning in the Shaheen Lab at Illinois State University (deadline 1/4/26)
12 November 2025Dr. Natalie L. Shaheen is recruiting a doctoral student for the 2026–2027 academic year. The student will work on the A11y in Sci project, conducting research and creating professional development for teachers. As part of Shaheen’s Lab, the student can pursue an Ed.D in either special education or teaching and learning at Illinois State University. The opening begins fall of 2026 and concludes spring of 2029. This 3 year graduate research assistantship includes full tuition remission and monthly stipends all year (12 months). Prospective students should email Dr. Shaheen (nlshahe@ilstu.edu) before January 4, 2026 to discuss their research interests and potential projects.

1 October 2025The Costello Lab at the University at Buffalo is recruiting PhD students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year! The lab conducts research to identify systemic barriers to student success in undergraduate biology courses and evaluate teaching strategies aimed at reducing those barriers. Current research projects center around evaluating course materials that represent scientists in biology courses, present results that do not align with hypotheses, and address how human biases shape scientific knowledge creation. University of Kentucky Master’s Program in Forensic Toxicology & Analytical Genetics Outside link
20 January 2025This two-year program has two areas of concentration: one concentration is focused on forensic toxicology/chemistry and the second on forensic/analytical genetics. Through the common core curriculum, students in both concentrations will have foundational information and skill set in advanced forensic science, writing, communication, professionalism, ethics, legal perspectives, and workplace-specific laboratory skills. Through a rigorous targeted finishing curriculum in either concentration, including internship experiences and cognate elective courses, the graduates will be competitive for workforce deployment in the areas of private industry drug testing, private DNA analysis, forensic governmental divisions, and hospital clinical labs.

The newly established Dunk Biology Education Research Lab at Howard University is recruiting PhD students for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year! We are looking for scholars interested in exploring the intersection between scientific knowledge and societal understandings of that knowledge, especially as it relates to the ways in which biological sex and societal conceptions of gender are misunderstood by biologists, biology students, and the general public. Other topics of interest will be considered, and I encourage you to reach out so we can discuss potential projects.

3 October 2024The Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics (MPaT) Graduate Program has conferred over 350 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and 75 Master of Science (MS) degrees in Pharmacology, with most graduates applying their training to successful careers in academic, medical, industry, government, and regulatory agency settings. The MPaT Graduate Program currently offers MS and PhD degree programs and participates in joint degree (MD/PhD and JD/PhD) programs offered in partnership with the University of Minnesota Medical School and Law School.
