A panel discussion with Shaohua Guo (Associate Professor of Chinese, Carleton College), the author of the newly released book, The Evolution of the Chinese Internet: Creative Visibility in the Digital Public (Stanford University Press, 2021). Three panelists--Professors Carol Donelan (Cinema and Media Studies), Kathleen Ryor (Art and Art History), and Noboru Tomonari (Asian Languages and Literatures) from Carleton College--will share their perspectives on The Evolution of the Chinese Internet, followed by a response from the author.
