Semaphore and The Northfield Experience

27 April 2018

Carleton’s Semaphore Repertory Dance Company has been busy preparing for their piece in Site Artist and Director Stephan Koplowitz’s upcoming performances of The Northfield Experience.

The students in Semaphore are working closely with Koplowitz, choreographer and director of The Northfield Experience, and with Judith Howard and Jane Shockley, Carleton instructors and directors of Semaphore. As their part in The Northfield Experience, Semaphore members will be performing in and around the Northfield Public Library. The piece has two sections: an indoor section which centers on the theme of time, and an outdoor section which focuses on themes of reading and the Library’s architecture.

The Northfield Experience is a progressive venue production, with multiple locations throughout the community participating, including the Library; the Northfield Arts Guild Theater; the Law Offices of Hvistendahl, Moersch, Doresey & Hahn; and others. The production begins at The Grand Event Center, where audiences will start their community-wide tour of theater, dance, visual installations, and digital media.

Ticket reservations available online through the Northfield Arts Guild.
