Professor Lawrence Archbold hosts organ recital

Professor Lawrence Archbold received his A.B., M.A., and Ph. D. in music from the University of California, Berkeley and has been a member of Carleton College’s community since 198. He specializes in academic research regarding organ music, performance of organ music, and discussion about the historical implications of the organ. He has written and presented papers for national organizations such as the American Musicological Society and the American Guild or Organists. Throughout his academic and musical career, Professor Archbold has contributed to lengthy historical research and has edited a large selection of musical essays that have gone on to be published. Finally, his passion for the organ has been displayed in over one hundred and fifty solo organ concerts that he has performed in his lifetime.

On Sunday, April 19th, Professor Archbold will continue his musical legacy by holding an organ recital for the Carleton community. The performance will be in the Concert Hall from 3-4:30 P.M.
