The International Film Forum will screen four more films this term, picking up again on Monday, October 28th. All screenings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Weitz Center Cinema, and are free and open to all.
The four films are:
October 28: TIRAILLEURS (2022). Directed by Mathieu Vadepied and starring Omar Sy (Netflix’s LUPIN). During World War I, a father enlists himself in the French Army in order to be with his 17-year-old son who was recruited against his will. Sent to the front, they find themselves facing the war together in the French colony of Senegal.
November 4: POSSIBLE SELVES (2022). This intimate, coming-of-age documentary following teenagers through their high school years in foster care was directed by Carleton alum Shaun Kadlec and edited by another Carl, Grace Zahrah.
November 11: HOME IS SOMEWHERE ELSE (2023). In this animated documentary, three young immigrants tell their stories.
November 18: CLOSE YOUR EYES (2023). A film by Victor Erice, director of THE SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE. A Spanish actor disappears during the filming of a movie. Although his body is never found, the police conclude that he has suffered an accident at the edge of a cliff. Many years later, the mystery returns to the present day.
