Truffaut Masterpiece kicks off Film Society Spring
29 March 2012Carleton’s Film Society launches its Spring series with a screening of Francois Truffaut’s masterpiece, THE 400 BLOWS. This intensely touching story of a misunderstood young adolescent who left without attention, delves into a life of petty crime, is one of the defining films of the French New Wave.
Screening at 7:00 Saturday, March 31 in the Weitz Center Cinema. All Film Society screenings are free and open to the public.

An ongoing series of films at Carleton College’s Weitz Center for Creativity, showcasing the best of contemporary cinema from around the world, will present John Sayles’ “Lone Star” on Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 7 p.m. The Global Cinema series, presented by the College’s Department of Cinema and Media Studies and curated by assistant professor Jay Beck, is free and open to the public.
