The Spring Dance Performance featuring Semaphore and the Carleton Dance Program. Guest Choreographers Herb Johnson and Lauren Simpson’s works will be featured. This is tonight at 7:30 or Sunday at 2PM in the Weitz Theater.

Oratory Bach Ensemble and Minnesota Dance Theatre join forces to bring Bach’s ST. JOHN PASSION to Kracum Performance Hall on Saturday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m.

Four-day teaching residency will be capped with a performance on Friday, January 11

Directed by award-winning artist Stephan Koplowitz, the immersive production interlaces theater, dance, visual installations, and digital media throughout Northfield.

The Northfield Experience is finally upon us! This weekend, Northfield audiences will experience a series of interlaced performances of theater, dance, visual installations, and digital media taking place at several locations. Koplowitz is collaborating with St. Olaf and Carleton Colleges and the greater Northfield community where the spirit of history, industry, and scholarship thrive and will engage students, alumni, and professors from both colleges, in addition to members of specific Northfield institutions and businesses. This is a progressive venue production. Most locations are within walking distance, but an ADA bus is available upon request. This will be a fantastic event and not one to be missed! The production begins at The Grand Event Center, 316 Washington Street, Northfield, MN. Tickets are required for this event and are available for purchase through the Northfield Arts Guild. Carleton’s Semaphore Repertory Dance Company has been busy preparing for their piece in Site Artist and Director Stephan Koplowitz’s upcoming performances of The Northfield Experience.

The producer of The Northfield Experience is Stephan Koplowitz. Since 1984, he has found inspiration for his work from a variety of sources stemming from his interests in music, photography, film, theater and dance combined with his interest in mapping the human experience through all of these arts. As the progeny of an American spy, he had the opportunity to grow up in France, Brazil and see several parts of the world at a young age, which greatly informed his perspective on life and culture.

Katha’s performances are rooted in Kathak, the classical dance style of North India.

A unique opportunity to share in the creation of this legendary performance ensemble’s newest work HAIR AND OTHER STORIES on Wednesday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Skinner Memorial Chapel.

This Friday Jan. 20th 4:30pm – 5:30pm, Bojana Cvejić (born in Belgrade/Serbia), a performance theorist and performance maker based in Brussels, will join a conversation the Carleton community in Wetz 236 (Larson Family Meeting Room).
