Guest director Ed Berkeley (Carleton Class of 1966) arrived on campus last week and stepped immediately into auditions for this Fall’s production of Shakespeare’s TEMPEST, the first production in the new Weitz Center Theater.
Daniel Peck ’13 will play Prospero, the magician presiding over the enchanted island. Joining him will be Chelsea Lau as Ariel; Caitlin Unumb as Miranda; Connor Lane as Caliban; Josh Davids as Ferdinand, as well as Patrick Stephen, Max Henkel, Chris Densmore, Ben Stroup, Freddy Stein, Simon Lansberg, Sorentage Hopkins, Alec Scott, Brady Soglin, Sam Braslow, Andrew Harvey, Jessica Morrison, Shavera Seneveratne, and Camille Hommeyer.
Costumes will be be resident designer Mary Ann Kelling; lighting by the College’s new resident lighting designer Jeff Bartlett, and in an exciting new venture, the set will be created by a class of students under the tutelage of Stephen Mohring, Associate Professor of Art.
