Wellspring features an exhibition and panel discussion exploring the intersection between art and environmental ethics. The panel and opening is Wednesday, February 8 from 4:00–5:30 pm, and the exhibition runs from January 15–March 1. Panelists include Los Angeles-based environmental artist Sarita Zaleha, Ojibwe water walker Sharon Day, freshwater ecologist Professor Paula Furey, and Clean River Partners Conservation Program Assistant, Dane McKittrick.

Please join us for a reception following the panel discussion to celebrate the work of the Justseeds artists cooperative—an exhibition portfolio—and responses to this work created by collaborations between Los Angeles-based environmental artist Sarita Zaleha, and Carleton College Studio Art and Environmental Studies students.

This event is made possible by the Art and Art History Department's Christopher U. Light Lectureship in the Arts, with support from Carleton’s Program in Environmental Studies, and the Alan R. and Katharine A. Muirhead Fund for Arts and Sciences Collaboration.
