Photo Feature: The Tempest Opens
28 October 2011Carleton christened the new Weitz Center for Creativity’s theater this week with the Carleton Players’ presentation of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.” Honoring the College’s brand new theater, “The Tempest” is being directed by Ed Berkeley, Carleton Class of 1966 and a faculty member at the famed Juilliard School in New York City since 1987. Carleton student photographer Nina Shapiro ’14 captured images of the dress rehearsal.

World-Renowned Klezmer Musicians to Present a Special Evening of Yiddish Music at Carleton
3 October 2011Acclaimed German musician Kartsten Troyke and Trio Spreefalter will present a performance of traditional Yiddish Klezmer music in the Carleton College Skinner Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public.

27 September 2011A series of filmed versions of Shakespeare’s works will be screened on Wednesday evenings at 7:00.
