Computer Science and Studio Art double major

I make artwork that quiets and captivates. Focusing on perspective and place, I design interactive pieces that immerse the viewer in curated experiences and scenes through play. Mostly digital, but pulling heavily from drawing and 3D sensibilities, my art is experienced in sessions, like a song or a story. This choreography is conducted through software, resulting in digital recreations generated from slow and careful observations of nature or systems.

Having the viewer become a part of the art is an intimate experience — hands hold a controller, passing their will directly into the work. An interactive piece looks back at the viewer, acknowledging the signal. In this way, the art becomes its own medium of expression, its dynamic output a reflection of both the artist and the user.

I hope the experience of being seen by, and wielding, the art lingers and occasionally prompts the viewer to slow down and carefully observe their own day-to-day experiences.
