This is a story of cycles. Cycles of home. Cycles of family. Cycles of religion. After all, those were the only things on my parents’ minds as they rebuilt their lives in the United States. Growing up, the place I called home was always very different from where my parents called home. Mine was in the U.S., and theirs was in Mexico. Yet, in both homes, family and God were to be the priority. The walls of the home hold the most private parts of the family, and with this work, I aim to shed some light on the fears, the love, and the cycles that occur within them.

Esta es una historia de ciclos. Ciclos de hogar. Ciclos de familia. Ciclos de religión. Después de todo, esas eran las únicas cosas que estaban en la mente mis padres mientras ellos reconstruían sus vidas en los Estados Unidos. Durante mi crecimento, mi hogar siempre fue muy diferente del hogar de mis padres. El mío estaba en los Estados Unidos, y el de ellos en México. Sin embargo, en ambos hogares, la familia y Dios siempre fueron la prioridad. Las paredes del hogar guardan las partes más privadas de la familia, y con esta obra de arte, intento apuntar un poco de luz sobre los miedos, el amor y los ciclos que ocurren dentro de ellos.
