In these artworks, I reflect on my parents’ journey from Burma to Thailand and my family’s journey to the United States. I hope to convey my interpretation of movement and share a small piece of my experience through these two works. Uncertainty and necessity are tones that are present in my work, calling attention to forced movement and displacement, and the act of survival thereafter.
