Political Science & International Relations and Studio Art Double Major
In my work Revisited (2020), I want to combine visual art and literary art in order to build upon the overall imagery. Using Gregory Corso’s poem “Birthplace Revisited”, I work to create accompanying prints that fit the lines of the poem, thereby not only enhancing the imagery of the poem, but adding narrative to my prints.
In terms of my technical printmaking, I primarily rely on drypoint to develop each piece but also use soft ground and aquatint to create each work. As a result, I am able to build up line work and create heavy contrast in most of these prints, adding depth and complexity to each work.
