The Studio Art class of 2022, Art and Art History department, and Perlman Teaching Museum invite you to visit the Senior Art Show. This annual exhibition is held in the second half of spring term. It showcases new artwork by graduating seniors, developed through the comps process, the capstone project that all Studio Art majors undertake.

The works on display demonstrate a variety of technical approaches, including drawing, watercolor, intaglio and woodcut printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and installation. Their subject matter is equally varied, exploring psychology, the inner psyche, and mental health; literature, poetry, and graphic novel formats; the environment and geological concept of the Anthropocene; and the history of museology. Often the concepts and ideas that students study when taking classes outside of the Art and Art History department come to influence the artistic work they produce within the department. This reflects the strength of the interdisciplinary, liberal arts education that Carleton College offers. Join us in celebrating the thoughtful, ambitious artwork of this group of eight artists.

Congratulations Seniors!
