My work to date has represented a variety of interests, including resonance of architecture, sound and its relationship to identity, marriage of utilitarian and sculptural ceramics, and the exploration and deconstruction of language with consideration of myth and world-building. It is important to my that my works creates a world the viewer can explore and learn about as they engage with the work, implicating their body and mind in an engagement with a piece.

My love of functional ceramics influences my sculptural work and pushes my skill with clay, while teaching me patience and humility in my process. My goal is to use my experience and interests to create work that will encourage the participant to connect with their own experience of the mundane, and to perhaps engage with new ways of knowing.
