Sexual dimorphism refers to the systematic differences between individuals of different sex of the same species. By applying masculine animal characteristics to different people I hope to evoke the complex relationship between those traits and courtship, aggression, possession, and value. My work is not without a sense of whimsy, but with that comes an allusion to the long history of exploiting people with disabilities. Physical differences are often used as justification for how we treat people. I want to provide a visual tension between the excessive and somewhat implausible portraits and narratives they represent.

I also created a small book featuring most of this series.
