“This exhibition, curated by Xavier Tavera and Dougie Padilla, brings together fifteen Latine visual artists from across the diaspora to consider the significance of blood as a material foundation of life, a carrier of complex lineages, a signal of violence and death, and a cultural and spiritual symbol of sacrifice and atonement.” Along with Tavera’s own work being exhibited, recent Studio Art graduate, Emily Luna ’23 is one of the featured artists.
The exhibition runs from July 11-December 1 in the John and Nancy Lindahl Gallery at the Minnesota Museum of American Art, located at 350 Robert Street North in St. Paul.
