David Lefkowitz, associate professor of Art, participated in the Northern Spark Festival from dusk to dawn June 8-9 in Lowertown, St. Paul. His project was called Placeholder, the inaugural exhibit at Peripatetic, his roving alternative space on wheels that is at once a model- a scaled down representation of a gallery- and a fully operational non-commercial art space.
Northern Spark is a portal to a new experience of the Twin Cities. Throughout the night visitors each pick a route accompanied by friends or in the companionship of familiar strangers to look at art, experience community in a new way, and see the cities in a new light.
