Peripatetic is a roving alternative space on wheels that is at once a model- a scaled down representation of a gallery- and a fully operational non-commercial art space that hosts a semi-regular schedule of exhibits and related programming.
The first show, entitled Placeholder features sculpture, drawings and artifacts that evoke mythical, speculative or alternative systems for negotiating and organizing space.
Each artwork references some type of marker that distinguishes a ‘place’ from the surrounding undifferentiated landscape- maps, cairns, mileage signposts, and their ilk.
