“The Professors” November 11-December 23, 2017. Opening Reception, Saturday, November 11 from 6-8 pm

McKnight Exhibition at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis through August 30th–the opening reception is this Saturday, July 11 from 1-4. Connole has installed a major piece titled From Here to There that is a meditation on the cycle of life and the deliberate act of finding profound beauty in darkness.

Stephen Mohring, designed the set for the current Ten Thousand Things theater production of “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.”

Ross Elfline, Assistant Professor of Art History, presented a paper titled “Site-Specific Sound: Music In and As Architecture” at the annual conference for the Society of Comparative Literature and the Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. There, he also chaired a panel titled “Of Idols and Iconoclasts: The Image of Art in Ernest Hello, Virginia Woolf, Walt Whitman, and Jackson Pollock.”

Tim Lloyd, Class of 1941 Professor of Art and the Liberal Arts, Emeritus, has been awarded a McKnight Individual Artist Grant to complete a project, “Prairie Landscapes in Metal.”
