National Gallery docents hear talk by Lauren Soth
8 November 2007Lauren Soth, Professor of Art History Emeritus, gave a lecture in November on the Edward Hopper exhibition to the docents of the National Gallery in Washington. He was also invited to a celebration held at the Morgan Library in New York to mark the publication of the first volume in the series Van Gogh Studies, published by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. -
Islamic Art History visiting professor makes presentations
14 September 2007Visiting professor Melanie Michailidis presented a lecture in October at St. Olaf entitled “Empty Graves: The Tomb Towers of Northern Iran.” She presented the same lecture at UC-Davis later in October.

3 January 2007Alison M. KetteringWilliam R. Kenan, Jr., Professor of Art History, has published an article, “De Magistraat van Deventer door Gerard ter Borch” in the Deventer Jaarboek 2006. And on Nov.16, 2006, she gave a lecture, “Rembrandt’s Group Portraits,” at the University of Minnesota for Dutch-American Heritage Day. -
