Katie Ryor presents paper at international symposium

Tanaka Memorial Professor of International Understanding and Art History, gave a paper entitled, “Scenery in a Pot or Container Gardens? Penjing and Flower Arrangements as Botanical Microcosms” at the international symposium, “Unscholarly” Gardens: Rethinking the Gardens of China at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens on February 29. She also delivered a lecture for the Department of Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego entitled, “Botanical Illustrations or Garden Records:  The Metamorphosis of Flower Painting in Late Ming China,” on March 2.
